Self-leadership under permanent pressure to perform. Stress competence for researchers
This workshop offers youthe welcome opportunity to calmly reflect about the main sources of pressureand stress that you encounter and to identify strategies to deal with them. Youwill learn about triggers and consequences of stress and how your personalresilience can be strengthened. We focus on three dimensions of stresscompetence: instrumental (i.e. time-management), mental (i.e. dealing withperfectionism), and regenerative (i.e. taking mindful breaks). The main goal ofthe workshop is to help you develop various strategies and methods that willimprove your stress competence by allowing you to maintain a good balancebetween productivity and self-care. All this will ensure you experience a longlasting productive output.

Dr. Jan Stamm
Jan Stamm is a trainer and coach with more than a decade of experience in academia. His major focus is time- and project-management for researchers. He is also an expert on stress competence and supports PhD candidates, Post Docs, and Professors in staying calm and collect under the permanent pressure to perform. Jan Stamm is Co-author of the book Mental Health in Academic Leadership.
