Contents and Learning goals
In this workshop, the participants
- get acquainted with typical tasks and requirements in the Data X field
- learn which profile fits them best
- analyze their own skills and match them with the specific data job they are looking for to find what might be missing
- get to know the typical layout of hiring processes as well as concrete knowledge about which skills are relevant in which stage of the hiring process

Dr. Anne Löchte

Dr. Anne Löchte works as a coach and career advisor for scientists. Her special expertise is the transition of doctoral graduates to the non-university job market. For more than 10 years, she has supported PhDs in making good career decisions for themselves and in realizing their goals. Together with a colleague, she led the study "Non-university career paths for doctoral graduates - the view of employers" by the Universitätsverband zu Qualifizierung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses in Deutschland e.V. (University Association for the Qualification of Young Academics in Germany).

Dr. Florian Kornrumpf has a PhD in Psycholinguistics. 6 years ago, he decided to switch from academia into the start-up world as what he believed would be a data scientist. He was successful and has worked in many of the canonical Data X roles in the market. Since 2019, he is working as an Analytics Engineer for NuBank.
